  • add Do I need a visa for Aruba?

    Yes, all Indian passport holders require a short stay visa (for a stay of 90 days or less) to visit Aruba. The Dutch Embassy in New Delhi and the Consulate-General in Mumbai use the services of Visa Facilitation Centre VFS Global to handle short stay visa requests. The type of visa to enter Aruba will depend on several factors such as nationality, purpose of your planned visit and duration.

  • add Is Aruba part of the Caribbean?

    Yes. Aruba visa is also called Caribbean visa. The Caribbean visa is valid for all four parts: Aruba, Curaçao, St Maarten and the Caribbean Netherlands. However travelling from one part to the other still requires passing through normal immigration procedures for each separate part.If you live in India and want to apply for a visa to visit Aruba, Curaçao or the other Caribbean parts of the Kingdom for up to 90 days, you must apply for a Caribbean visa at the Netherlands Embassy or Consulate in India.

    Indian Nationals holding following visas do not need an Aruba/Caribbean visa:

    • Holders of a valid residence permit for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or one of the Schengen countries.
    • Indian passport holders who have a valid US or Canadian visa
    • Holders of a valid multiple entry Schengen visa
    • Holders of a valid residence permit for the French part of Sint Maarten
    • Holders of a valid residence permit (for a stay for longer than 6 months) for Aruba, Curaçao, St Maarten or the Caribbean Netherlands.
    • Captains, passengers or crew of ships or aircraft landing in Aruba, Curaçao, St Maarten or the Caribbean Netherlands for a period of not more than 48 hours who do not constitute a threat to public order or security in the Caribbean Netherlands. Passengers on cruise ships staying not more than 48 hours on the island/country.
    • Holders of a Laissez Passer issued by the United Nations and its affiliated organizations.

  • add How early can I apply for an Aruba visa online?

    Applicants are encouraged to apply three (3) weeks to (1) one month in advance of travel.The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you intend to travel. In most cases, you’ll be informed within 15 calendar days whether your application has been successful.

  • add What is the validity of an Aruba visa for Indians?

    The maximum period of time that a person can be admitted to Aruba as a tourist is 30 days. The total amount of days a person can stay in Aruba, as a tourist cannot exceed 180 days per year. The entry type will be at issued at the discretion of the Embassy.

  • add What is the difference between a single entry and multiple entry?

    One must carefully note what kind of entry is permitted. If the visa reads a single entry, its holder can only enter and leave Aruba once whereas, with multiple entries, he/she can enter or leave the country multiple times.

      The purpose of Aruba visa can be utilized forvacation and relaxation, sport, health reasons, family matters, study, religious purposes or a business visit. During their stay in Aruba tourists are not allowed to work.

    There are no transit visas or airport transit visas for Aruba, Curaçao, St Maarten or the Caribbean Netherlands. Nationals who require a Caribbean visa who are in transit via one of the international airports of Curaçao, St. Maarten or the Caribbean Netherlands wanting to leave the transit area for more than 48 hours must apply for a visitor’s visa. If they do not leave the transit area, or if they leave it for less than 48 hours, they do not require a visa. Please bear in mind that for ARUBA the applicant can only stay for a maximum of 24 hours after which period a visitor’s visa is required.

    The visa must be applied for in person at an embassy or consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in India.Applications by mail will not be accepted nor are travel agents authorized to submit applications on behalf of the applicant.

    Yes, the Embassy will stamp the visa in the original passport. Therefore, two blank pages are required in the passport. Your passport should also be valid for minimum six months beyond the intended stay.

    Upon arrival in Aruba a tourist must have:

    • A passport that is valid upon entry and for the duration of stay in Aruba. If the tourist holds a passport from a visa required country then he/she must have a valid visa sticker in his/her passport (see list in visa section to determine if a visa is necessary)
    • A completely filled-in and signed Embarkation and Disembarkation card (ED-card).
    • A valid return- or onward ticket.
    • The necessary documents for returning to the country of origin or to a country that he/she has the right to enter, for example a valid residence permit (temporary or permanent), a re-entry permit or a (entry) visa.
    • If so requested, the tourist has to be able to prove to the satisfaction of the migration officer that he/she has a valid reservation for an accommodation in Aruba (e.g. hotel or apartment) or that he/she owns property in Aruba (a residence, condominium, apartment, timeshare apartment or a pleasure yacht moored in Aruba with a length of at least 14 meters (46 feet) measured at the nominal water line).
    • If so requested, the tourist has to be able to prove to the satisfaction of the migration officer to dispose of adequate financial means to provide for hotel expenses (if applicable) and living expenses during his/her stay or that he/she has a declaration of guarantee from a legal resident of Aruba.
    • Required vaccinations and certificate of proof for required countries.
