Thailand is an international travel destination in South-East Asia known for its unique tropical landscape, world-class cities and an effortless Thailand visa process. Historically known as Siam, Thailand has majestic mountains and beautiful beaches that not only cater to the mountain lovers and the beach lovers alike but also the foodies through its globally recognised Thai cuisine. The country has retained its culture along with modern facilities to assist travellers making it one of the few countries in the world to do so. The predominant Buddhist culture and the influx of international travellers makes it a unique destination to study where you can experience and learn everything you want to in a tropical country.
If you want to study or wish to participate in projects, attend seminars, workshops, training course or internship programmes in Thailand, you will need to apply for a Thai Student Visa or a Thailand Education Visa which is officially called a Non-immigrant visa-ED. All the necessary documents including the details of the seminar, internship, workshop or course that you wish to attend must be submitted along with your Thailand Education Visa application to ascertain that they meet the minimum Thailand student visa requirements which are required for you to be eligible for Thailand Non-immigrant visa category ED.
We have gathered all the necessary resources to guide you as to how to go about the application process for Thailand Student Visa for Indians.

Student Visa Application for Thailand:
The student visa application is quite easy as long as you follow the Thailand ED visa new rules.
- The first thing you will need to do to obtain a Student Thailand visa is to find a course that you want to study and apply to the institutions for the same.
- If you are already in Thailand, the school where you enroll will apply for a letter from the Ministry of Education on your behalf. It will take 3-5 weeks to obtain this letter (make sure your current visa lasts until you obtain the letter).
- Many educational facilities around Thailand that are registered with the Ministry of Education can also produce admission letters for you. Once you have this letter, you will have to leave the country to apply for the ED visa.
- Visit the Thailand Embassy or Consulate in your country of origin.
- Gather all the relevant documents.
- Submit all the required documents along with a completely filled and signed Thailand student visa application form.
- Pay the student visa Thailand price (Depending upon where you apply, the Embassy or Consulate could ask you to make payment through Bank Order or in Cash).
- Wait for the non ED visa Thailand visa to be processed and then collect your passport from the Thai Embassy or Consulate.
Note: If you are visiting Thailand on a Thailand tourist visa, you must first apply to change your visa category at the Office of the Thai Immigration Bureau in Bangkok before your current visa expires. However, you cannot change your visa category if you are travelling to Thailand with a Thailand visa on Arrival. In such a scenario you will have to leave and re-enter Thailand with your new Non-immigrant Thai ED visa.
