Italy Student Visa application:

Italy Student visa Types:
If a student chooses a course or program that does not have duration beyond 90 days, then he or she will require a Schengen visa or a short-stay visa. However, if the student chooses a course or program that lasts more than 90 days, he will have to obtain a long-term student visa.

The D National Visa from Italy is valid for a stay period of more than 3months. You can stay during your entire degree program, you may need to renew your visa every year. If you want to stay in Italy after your degree is over, you will have to apply for a different visa, or a visa renewal through the immigration office.
Processing Time:
You should apply at least 3 months before your university degree program starts.

You can expect to wait for the decision for about 90 days after you have applied.

- Original passport
- Visa photographs according to specifications
- Acceptance letter by the Italian School or Institution
- Statement of value (Dichiarazione di Valore)
- Original academic education certificates
- Proof of support means for each month of the academic year in cash or travelers checks or international credit/debit card
- Bank statements for the last six months
- Proper proof of boarding and evidence of accommodation
- Travel insurance abroad
- Original scholarship test
