- A Certificate of Continuation is required for students above 18 years of age.
- Details of visa sponsor – the educational institution, parents or any relative.

- If a student leaves UAE for a period of 6 months or more their Dubai student residence visa becomes invalid. Dubai Student Visa Application Process:
- As you cannot get a student visa for Dubai from India, you first need to get admission in a university or institution and then acquire a Dubai entry permit to enter the country.
- After this step, the institution (which must be accredited) will apply for your Dubai student visa at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – GDRFA.
- After your Dubai student visa application is approved, you will receive a Dubai student residence visa along with your Emirates ID card, which is only valid till the visa lasts.
- Resident expats or relatives can also sponsor your Dubai student visa.
Note: UAE laws do not allow a resident expatriate to continue sponsoring their male children above the age of 18. An exception is given to male students who continue their studies in one of the higher educational institutes in the UAE or abroad. Therefore, male students over the age 18 can remain on their parent’s residence visa sponsorship as long as they provide an evidence of attendance at a higher educational institute for a minimum of one year’s course. Expatriate parents may continue to sponsor their female children for study, regardless of their children’s age.
