Indian travel COVID19 restrictions
International travellers can enter India provided they adhere to the travel guidelines laid down by the Government of India. Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know to visit India, including entry requirements and COVID-19 guidelines.
The Indian Government has identified few countries as Countries ‘at risk’ and travellers arriving from these countries would need to follow additional measures on arrival in India. As of January 28, 2022. the ‘at risk’ countries are Countries in Europe including The United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, China, Ghana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Hong Kong, Israel, Congo, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia and Zambia. The list of countries gets updated regularly based on the prevalent epidemiological situation of COVID-19 in these countries including circulation of Variants of Concern.
International travellers arriving through sea ports / land ports will also have to undergo the same protocol as above, except that the online registration facility is not available for such travellers. They will have to submit the Self-Declaration Form to the concerned authorities of the Government of India upon arrival at the respective sea port / land port.
