Eligibility

To be eligible for the EntrePass, the candidate must fulfill the criteria outlined by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore:

Applicant has or intends to set up a private limited company registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) in Singapore
Should be 21 years old or older
Entrepreneur must hold at least 30% shareholding in the company
Can apply for EntrePass only before the conception of the business or within 6 months from its registration in Singapore. If the company is already registered, the company must not be more than 6 months old on the date of application

Should be funded by a government-accredited venture capitalist (VC) or business angel (funding of at least SGD $ 100,000)

Is an incubator/accelerator or is incubated by such a company registered with the government

Acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, and herbal dispensing businesses
Employment agencies
Geomancy businesses

Documents required for EntrePass Singapore Visa application

Valid Passport
EntrePass application form
Passport-sized photograph
A copy of the personal particulars page of your passport
Copy of past Employment testimonials in English. (References and testimonials of current and former colleagues)
A business plan of 10 page or less stating the applicant’s employment history, skills and experiences, academic qualifications and professional achievements. The business plan must convey the product and services offered, financial plans and market analysis, and legal documents such as product certifications and licensing agreements
Supporting documents such as licensing agreements, product certifications and endorsements

Validity

The EntrePass Singapore Business Visa is valid for a year and can be renewed annually. The EntrePass holder will need to prove the progress of the business at the end of the first year before being granted an extension for another year. If all the renewal criteria is met, a one year extension will be granted. Thereafter, all subsequent EntrePass renewals will be valid for 2 years. An EntrePass holder can apply for renewal of the pass 3 months before its expiry.

Processing time

The processing time may take up to seven weeks from the date of receipt of the application. The working days exclude weekends and public holidays.

The MOM outlines the following steps for the EntrePass application:

An applicant must submit the EntrePass application form along with supporting documents
On approval of the application, the MOM will issue an in-principle approval letter
The EntrePass must be issued within 6 months of the in-principle letter
The applicant must register fingerprint and photograph on the issuance of the EntrePass
The MOM will deliver the card to the address mentioned in the application

Cancellation of the EntrePass

The pass must be cancelled and returned within a period of 1 week of closing the business.
