ITINERARY

Bentota

Day 1

Welcome to Colombo. On arrival, you will be assisted by our local ground staff who will escort you to vehicle & transfer you to Bentota. Bentota is a popular coastal town in Sri Lanka, known for its beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts, and a wide range of activities that cater to both relaxation and adventure. On arrival, check-in at your hotel/resort. Later we proceed to enjoy water-sports activities (1X Jet Ski | Banana Boat | Tube Ride) at Bentota Beach.

Day 2

Breakfast

Breakfast at hotel. On your city tour you will enjoy a boat ride along the Madu River. It is a scenic tour relaxing and interesting while passing many islets forested with mangroves and experience the natural rhythms as well. If you are looking for more exclusive experience visit the turtle hatchery too. The Turtle Hatchery is the prime turtle nesting site which was open by the Wild life Protection Society in 1981.
Visitors can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness.) Later we proceed to Galle, it was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbor. Stroll around the lighthouse and harbor or visit the old town where you can see the traditional lace makers and wood carvers and purchase some the finest souvenirs. We will also visit the famous “Galle Fort” whose oldest landmark is the massive Portuguese and Dutch Fort which is a “World Heritage Site” in which the central city is contained. But the city may be much older. Some scholars believe it to be the “Tarshish” of the Old Testament, to which King Solomon sent his merchant vessels, and to which Jonah fled from the Lord

After breakfast, we head to Colombo. Colombo, the bustling capital of Sri Lanka, is a vibrant city that offers a mix of colonial architecture, modern high-rises, bustling markets, and serene parks. Whether you’re interested in exploring the city’s rich history, indulging in local cuisine, or shopping for unique souvenirs, Colombo has something for everyone. On arrival we will visit the Colombo Lotus Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in Sri Lanka. The tower features an observation deck that offers panoramic views of Colombo and the surrounding areas. On clear days, you can see as far as the Indian Ocean and the city’s sprawling skyline.

After enjoy breakfast at hotel, we drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha & the Independence Square. We will also visit ODEL which provides our guests ample opportunity to indulge not only in shopping for designer wear apparel for the whole family, but also take taste buds on a voyage of discovery. Our city tour will be incomplete without visiting Gangaramaya Temple, also known as Gangaramaya Vihara, is one of the most important and visited Buddhist temples in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Its serene atmosphere, beautiful architecture, and historical significance make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Colombo.
